Sri Madhava Surya Narayana Sharma Bijumalla Sidhdhanti garu was born on 23rd March 1940 in Hyderabad, India. His parents were Sri Madhava Sharma Bijumalla and Smt. Parvatama. Sri Surya Narayana Siddanti garu was a Hanuman UPASAK and was a Vedic astrologer and Druk Sidhdhanti. He has been graced with the blessings of his father Sri Bijumalla Madhava Sharma garu and was introduced to Astrology. With knowledge, Skill and devotion he aquired the power of accurate predictions. He believed that true power of astrology is a product of 90% sadhana by upasana and 10% wisdom. The power of upasana can only be attained by Gurumukha (through the channel of Guru-Updadesam) and wisdom is attained through ancient scripts, books and practical experience.
Sri Surya Narayana Bijumalla garu was an expert in Drigganita, in which the computations are performed using certain basic constants derived from observations of astronomical phenomena. The almanacs computed using the methods of Drigganita are referred to as Drigganita Panchangs.
Sri Surya Narayana Sharma garu was associated with Sri V.V.Rao, a popular Sayana Astrologer. They worked together for decades in Sayana Astrology and introduced daily chakras of Panchangam for Andhra Bhoomi Weekly Telugu Magazine.
Sri Surya Narayana Sharma garu was appointed by State Government as consultant for compiling Telugu Raashtreeya Panchangam and also as a chief Advisor in Endowments department. His profound knowledge in “AGAMASASTRA” made him popular for “Prana Pratishtha” a ritual that means, “bringing life to the temple”. It is also referred to as Murti Sthapana (image placement inside the temple), this knowledge of his was the
inspiration for construction of Temples like Pedamma Temple in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, Ganesh Temple at Secunderabad, Bhadrakali Temple in
Warangal and many more across the then combined Telugu state of Andhra Pradesh. He persuaded the state government to start Astrological Classes in Potti Sri Ramulu Telugu University at Hyderabad. He also started the RSS and Arya Samaj branch at Seethaphalmandi, Secunderabad.
Sri Surya Narayana Sharma garu believed in treating everyone equally and stood by it till the end. It is this along with the gentle and soft-spoken
nature of his that gave him a huge following and goodwill. His beliefs will continue as a guiding force to the future generations of his lineage. His
Astrological analysis are deemed to be accurate and his intuitive predictions of Muhurta’s highly regarded. His answers to individuals with the problems were simple, positively guided and economically viable remedies helped in giving great solace and relief. This made him very popular among both the public and the Hindu Dharma followers of the state.
Sri Bijumalla Suryanarayana Sidhdhanthi garu dedicated his life to the seva of Hindu Dharma and Shastras. He was awarded Jyothir Ganitha Visharada by All India Astrological Convention in 1974, held at Saharanpur, UP. He was Vedic Advisor to Department of Endowment of Andhra Pradesh (1991-1998).
His contribution to Hindu Sanathana Dharma and Astrology has earned him name and fame and also won many awards and rewards. He left for Shiva’s abode on 5 th February, 1998.
His devotion and belief in continuing Vedic dharma has made him send his youngest son, Sri Bijumalla Bindu Madhava Sharma, into “VEDA ADHYAYANA”.
